Bank History
The District Co-operative Central Bank Ltd., Eluru was established in the year 1918 and has completed 105 years of dedicated service to its clientele, focusing on the farming community. The Bank operates with the main objective of Agricultural and Rural development in the District, supporting priority sectors, and contributing to the overall economic development of the region.
The Bank is professionally managed by a team of qualified officers and staff under the leadership of a governing body. The Bank has a strong network of 34 branches and 259 PACS spread across the erstwhile West Godavari District, along with 376 other cooperative societies affiliated to the Bank.

III. Banking
- Bank Own Buildings: The Bank has 14 own buildings for its branches located in prime localities, all of which are fully furnished and air-conditioned, equipped with fake note detectors, burglar alarms, surveillance systems, and cash counting machines.
- Higher Interest Rates to PACS on Deposits: The Bank offers 0.5% higher interest on deposits to PACS and urban banks in the District.
- The Bank has installed 7 ATMs and provided Micro ATMs to all branches and PACS. There are 2 Mobile ATM vans to reach remote villages.
- Biometric Attendance Systems have been introduced for all staff across branches and offices.
- The Bank offers a variety of loan products tailored to customer needs.
- The Bank actively participates in government-sponsored schemes and contributes to the upliftment of targeted beneficiaries.
IV. Developmental Activities
- PACS Development Cell (PDC): Established with the initial sponsorship of NABARD, the PDC strengthens PACS to provide financial and non-financial services efficiently.
- Financial Literacy Centers: The Bank has set up three Financial Literacy Centers under NABARD sponsorship to promote financial awareness.
- Paddy Procurement Centers: Over 200 PACS have been transformed into paddy procurement centers to support farmers with timely marketing and better prices.
- Transformation of PACS as Multi-Service Centers: The Bank assists PACS in becoming Multi-Service Centers, offering a range of farm and non-farm services. Financial aid is provided for infrastructure like godowns, weighbridges, petrol bunks, milk chilling centers, and more.

VI. Computerization
- The Bank is fully computerized with CBS network since 2013. An upgraded version of B@ncs24 software has been installed for improved service.
- RTGS, NEFT, and e-commerce facilities are available for customers.
- The Bank has installed 7 ATMs and operates 3 Mobile ATMs. Customers are issued ATM cards.
- Internet banking (view mode) and a mobile app (DCCB Eluru) are available for customer use.
- An SMS alert system is in place to notify customers of transactions.
- The Bank’s website (www.elurudccb.org) is updated regularly with relevant information.
- The Bank plans to introduce IMPS and BBPS services in the financial year 2024-25.
VII. Welfare Activities
- RythuSevaSahakaraBhavan: The Bank has constructed
‘RythuSevaSahakaraBhavan’ at J.R.Gudemfor conducting the official
functions/meetings of the Bank and social functions by the farmers with
nominal charges. - Guest Houses at Pilgrim Centers: The Bank has donated for the
construction of guest houses at TirumalaTirupathiDevasthanam and
DwarakaTirumala and the accommodation in guest houses are provided to
customers and farmers at free of cost. - Corporate Responsibility: The Bank has donated an Ambulance to the
District Government Hospital with a cost of Rs.11 lakhs and another
ambulance to District Jail in coordination with DCMS and also donated
furniture to many Schools/Veterinary Hospitals through Common Good Fund
of the Bank. The Bank is participating in all the social activities announced by
the Government of Andhra Pradesh like Vanamahostavam, Digging of
InkuduGunthalu under Neeru-MeeruProgramme etc.
